Materials
It’s easy…we use the best materials available on the market.
Cores:
S-PP: the best close cell structure 1.9lb extruded PP core produced in USA, and explicitly studied for the bodyboard cores. S-PP core is both stiff and flexible at the same time, extremely light and perfect for hot climates.
Dow Ethafoam® 220: 2.2lb close cell foam extruded PE core, furnished with excellent flexibility and memory, particularly appropriate for use in cold water climates.
Deck and Rail materials:
Fly Cell Deck: It is important that the bodyboarder be at ease with the board to be able to have the maximum feeling with it. This is why we have introduced 8lb non crosslink PE Fly Cell. This very strong deck and outer rails skin, guarantees grip, high comfort, and above all has been studied to absorb and unload the forces of impact, which occur with every wave landing.
ADS Deck: 8lb crosslink PE deck and outer rails skins, heat laminated with best reinforced film, for the best comfort and sensibility, with a high resistance to pressure. Utilised with our PP and PE cores.
ARS Inner Rails: 8lb crosslink PE rails. All our performance boards are with double rail. This guarantees internal finish and above all increases the waterproof characteristics.
Slick Skins:
Surlyn® Slick Skin: The best slick skins material available on the market, produced with a special combination of resins. For maximum speed, flexural stiffness and incredible abrasion resistance. Laminated with two backing special films for greater stiffness/memory. It’s hydrodynamic features, are able to create an incomparable flow-ability. Used with PP and PE board cores.
S-Flow HDPP Slick Skin: High Density Polypropylene slick laminated with backing film, for amazing projection and speed for our PP performance boards.
S-Flow HDPE Slick Skin: High Density Polyethilene slick laminated with backing film, for amazing projection and speed for our PE performance boards.
Secret Features
RR Stringer system: A special composite tube, put lengthwise in the centre of the core, that increases the dynamic and memory features of the boards. It transforms the pressure applied in pure energy, for the best projection and maximum speed. The RR stringer, increases and maintains the original board rocker and general resistance.
DRR Stringer system: Two stringers with special angled set-up at inner core. For top stiffness especially for DK boards.
RR Mesh: Special fibre mesh backing fused between core and slick film, notably increases the stiffness and memory. This occurs along the whole surface of the boards. Together with our RR stringer, it guarantees a maximum performance.
Ergo Grips: Nose bulbs for the best possible grip. In the moment in which it is necessary to hold the nose solidly during extreme curves and flies, offer the best grip for amazing control.
Palm Grips: We have forged the nose in such a way to allow a more natural and comfortable position of the hands, increasing therefore the efficiency of the hold which becomes stronger and safer.
Grip Strip: The lateral edge is a critical part of the board, not only because it influences the performance, but also because it is the part that the bodyboarder grips during the ride. The Grip Strip, thanks to its ergonomical form puts a rider in the position to have a maximum grip on the external part of the board.
ARS Protection: These Crosslink PE protective shields for nose and tail are important for impact damage forestall, and give a greater waterproofing to the slick and core. This feature represents an exclusive safety finish of the board.
DTC (Deck Twin Channels): We decided to design our Graduated Slick Channels also on the deck. The double channels guarantee an absolute control of the board, in fact the flow of the water is more rapid and regular. All this means a clean and incredible fluid ride.
U.S.T. Lamination Technology: All our materials are laminated with heat lamination process (thermo-fusion). We don’t use any type of resins or glues. This type of constructive technique gives the perfect welding of all parts which form our boards.
S-Block Construction:The S-Block constructive technology of Secret, represents the ultimate in quality of production. Through a special and exclusive construction system, we are able to dose the flex pattern and tension on the whole surface of the board. Our S-Block technology emphasizes the reactivity and the resistance of the structure, besides thanks to this system the different parts of the board result perfectly welded to each other, guaranteeing an incredible compactness, impermeability and excellent buoyancy.
